📍 5discovery Virtual Learning participated in the Essi seminar (Évry Sénart Sciences and Innovation) on the topic: "What role for generative AI in higher education?"
💬 An enriching exchange of experiences on the first feedback regarding the use of AI in higher education, observed advantages and limitations, as well as challenges for learning, both for students and teachers. 🌐
🎯 Key challenges discussed: Role in education 🎓 Ethical concerns 🌱 CSR 🌍
💡 Examples of AI use:
The creation of educational chatbots to assist students with course-related questions 🤖
The development of revision modules/MCQs or tools for assessing knowledge before exams 📑
⚠️ Among the limitations of AI is the act of learning itself. It’s crucial to differentiate between 1/ information and 2/ knowledge.
🤔 If students simply read AI-generated text, it’s clear they learn very little. However, the search for knowledge, interaction with others, debate, and critical thinking are key to truly learning and retaining information.
🚀 Based on these observations, 5discovery Virtual Learning has developed Virtual Reality modules with structured and refined behavioral AI, where the educational journey includes moments of reflection.
Taking a step back is integrated to encourage reflective analysis of one's own actions and extract the necessary lessons. 🌌
